INDIA EARLY CHILDHOOD EXCELLENCE SUMMIT & AWARDS 2025

Date: 5 October 2025   |   Venue: Hotel The Royal Plaza, Ashoka Road, Janpath, New Delhi - 110001

Theme: Nurturing Early Childhood Education in India

Jointly Organized by:

Association of Indian Principals (AIP)
Confederation for Quality in Early Childhood Care and Education (CQ-ECCE)

INDIA EARLY CHILDHOOD EXCELLENCE SUMMIT & AWARDS 2025

  • Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) forms the foundation for lifelong learning, cognitive development, emotional well-being, and equitable opportunities. With the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 affirming ECCE as a national priority, there is now a renewed emphasis on developing inclusive, play-based, and holistic early learning environments that reach every child—regardless of geography, economic status, or social identity.
  • Despite this policy thrust, the ECCE ecosystem in India remains fragmented. It includes diverse providers such as standalone preschools, pre-primary wings of K–12 schools, daycare centers, not-for-profit and NGO-run centers, and franchise chains—each with varying quality standards and operational models. The sector lacks a unified excellence benchmark and a nationally recognized platform to honor outstanding contribution and innovation in the field.
  • In response, the India Early Childhood Excellence Summit & Awards 2025 is being launched as a first-of-its-kind initiative, integrating the unveiling of the India Early Childhood Excellence Index (IECEI)—an evidence-based benchmarking framework to assess, support and celebrate quality in early childhood education across India.

VISION

To create a transformative movement that recognizes, uplifts, and celebrates excellence, innovation, and inclusivity in Early Childhood Care and Education across India.

MISSION

  • To provide a robust framework (India Early Childhood Excellence Index) for assessing ECCE centers on nationally relevant quality parameters.
  • To celebrate and recognize ECCE institutions, leaders and practitioners through national awards.
  • To create a knowledge-sharing platform for educators, policymakers, NGOs and stakeholders.
  • To accelerate alignment with NEP 2020 goals and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to early childhood.
